Goin’ to a ComiCon!

Considering how much I love comic books and graphic novels, it comes might come as a bit of a surprise to you that I’ve never actually been to a ComiCon.  It surprises me too.  I guess I just never had time to go before, and if I did have time I was usually exhausted and trying to catch up on sleep so I could work one of my 5 jobs.  Ha!  Not so now!

Aside from seeing all the cool stuff, writers, inkers, and the crazy costumes that are sure to flood the Expomart today, I go with a purpose.  I promised Norm I’d help him man the booth he has there for his day job (The man’s a superhero, and every superhero needs a secret identity–everyone knows this.  And no.  I won’t tell you how he fights injustice or crime!).  I also intend on mining the geniuses present for information and advice about submitting scripts.  I don’t know that I’ll have any success in this area (I’m sure everyone and their mother has the same questions), but it’s worth a shot.  My co-writer and I should be ready to submit by the end of summer, if not sooner, and any tips to avoid being tossed in the can before it’s even read would be helpful.

I also heard rumor that there are IronMan preview tickets being raffled off…

I am so there.
